What Does an HVAC Certified Technician Do?

The duties of all HVAC technicians/contractors vary based on where they work. However, their typical duties are as follows:

  • Adjusting system controls.
  • Assembling, positioning and mounting heating or cooling equipment.
  • Cutting or drilling holes in floors, walls or roofs to install equipment.
  • Inspecting and testing systems to verify system compliance.
  • Connecting electrical wiring between controls and equipment.
  • Joining pipes or tubes to equipment.

How to Become an HVAC Certified Technician/Contractor in Indiana?

What Types of HVAC Certifications Can I Get in Indiana?
